Casablanca Media Publishing Inc. is pleased to announce that it has signed an agreement with Arc Music Group, parent company of Arc Music, Conrad Music, Regent Music, Jewel Music Publishing., Sunflower Music, and Sunflower Entertainment Company, to administer their publishing catalogues in Canada.

Casablanca has signed a sub-publishing agreement to represent in Canada the catalog of stand-up material by seminal comedian Richard Pyror, spanning his career from the 1960’s to the 1990’s.
Richard Pryor is regarded as the most important comedian of his time. He was a trailblazer who injected social commentary into his comedy, giving other comedians license to follow in his footsteps. Casablanca Media Publishing To Represent Global Jukebox Catalogue
Casablanca has signed a sub-publishing agreement to represent in Canada a catalog of songs edited, adapted, arranged, recorded and published by legendary American folklorist Alan Lomax and his father John Lomax, and controlled by Globeal Jukebox Publishing.
In the 1930s and early ‘40s Alan Lomax recognized the value of African American music as one of the richest sources of indigenous American culture and helped to develop the Library of Congress’ Archive of American Folk Song as a national resource, recording thousands of songs and oral histories in their original settings. Alan introduced Woody Guthrie, Aunt Molly Jackson, Lead Belly, Josh White, Burl Ives, Pete Seeger, Sonny Terry, and Jean Ritchie on national radio and in concerts, records, and books, igniting careers and folk song movements.

Casablanca Media Publishing Signs Worldwide Deal With Felony Street Muzik
Casablanca has signed a worldwide co-publishing deal to represent songs written by Dereck McKinnis (Felony Street Muzik).
Dereck Mckinnis is one of the hottest producers and songwriters to come out of Philadelphia. He is best known for producing classics such as "I'm A Soldier" by Young Buck, "Shake" by Philly's Most Wanted, and "Ball All Day" by Rampage and also written and produced songs for Glenn Lewis, Angie Stone, Kardinal Official, Beanie Sigel, Young Chris (Young Gunz), La La from MTV, Cassidy and many others as well as working along side with super producers Dre and Vidal.

Jaylene was born and raised in Winnipeg. A co-founder of the Manitoba Independent Songwriters Circle (MISC), she has co-written songs with Eddie Schwartz, Gerald O’Brien, Chris Burke-Gaffney, David Browning, Justin Gray, Amy Sky, Simon Wilcox and Monica Schroeder among others.
Her music has been placed in the television shows “The Black Donnelleys” "Joan of Arcadia", "Dawson's Creek" and "Beautiful People." She also had songs featured in two independent short films by New York based director Joyce Storey. Her song “Butterfly Girl” was recorded by the trio, Braided, formed by three Canadian Idol finalists. Jaylene has toured solo across Canada to promote her critically acclaimed sophomore release “Finding Beautiful.”

Casablanca Media Publishing Inc. is pleased to announce that it has signed an agreement with Four Jays Music and Red Queen Music to administer their publishing catalogues in Canada, including the works of the legendary Harry Warren.
Harry Warren was one of America’s most prolific composers. Between 1935 and 1950, Harry Warren had 42 songs in the top ten of “Your Hit Parade” – more than any other songwriter at the time. Warren is particularly known for his success in motion-picture musicals. During the 25 year period between 1932 and 1957, he was employed by all four major studios who published 250 of his songs, with 56 of them becoming standards.
Warren wrote songs with Ira Gershwin, Mack Gordon, Johnny Mercer, Billy Rose, and Al Dubin. Among his hits included in the catalogue are "That’s Amore” (recorded by Dean Martin among others), “You Wonderful You” (recorded by Gene Kelly), “I Wanna Be A Dancin Man” (recorded by Fred Astaire), “You Got Me Where You Want Me” (recorded by Bing Crosby and Judy Garland), and “Why Can’t He Care For Me” (recorded by Connie Stevens).

Jack Grunsky Wins Best Children’s JUNO

Jack Grunsky’s name has become synonymous with excellence in children’s music.
